Kindermusik Graduation Wiggle & Grow

How time flies!  We started Kindermusik at 6 months for a short module then joined a summer class.  We were absent on both graduations as we were out of town.  For Gavin's last module, we made sure that we are present for the certificate day :)

     Baby Bubut class :)

     Kindermusik Cockadoodlemoo

       We love caterpillar!!!

             Kindermusik Peekaboo I Love You

We love swaying in the blanket!

Still can't believe that we started when he was like a tiny caterpillar and now, ang gulo gulo na!
Even as a baby, the Kindermusik CD soothes him when he is antsy.
When he started to walk, he was so possessive of the toys and was always crying during pack away time. Now, nauuna pa siya with returning the toys back.

We learned how to play with musical instruments!

We learned how to traverse a tunnel!

We went on a parachute :)

We got a stamp every week!

The classes also helped in giving us ideas on what activities can we do together, how we can practice his motor skills and how to differentiate textures and shapes. A parent is required to join the classes with her child every session.  It became our weekly bonding time.

Thank you Teacher Marah ng Teacher Pia of being Gavin's first teachers!

Easter Hoppity

Spent Easter morning with a mass with family then sneaked off at the tent for Gavin's Easter egg hunt.
We had a great lunch with my cousin and lola afterwards.  Capped off the day celebrating a first birthday party with good friends over good food.

Party Time

Went off social edit the entire Holy Week and survived!
The Detox was great, mission accomplished.

Happy Easter folks!  Christ is risen!

Tick Tock

9 months to go unti Nov 14!
Ninang is getting married :)

Guess How Much I Love You

Spent the night before Valentines on a date with Gavin.
Took him to a kiddie barber shop, then we ate at Jollibee and we shopped at the mall.
I hope he had as much fun as I did.
Lulubusin ko na, baka sa future iba ng chicks ang idate....(-_-)

On the 14th, we had fun at Kindermusik. Teacher Marah asked everyone to wear red and they gave chocolates to the kids afterwards.  Gavin has been improving in class.
He is still magulo, running around at times, but he is now the expert pack away kid.
In the beginning, he would cry when it's pack away the toys time because he does not want to let go of toys and instruments.  Now, pati toys ng ibang bata siya na ang nagliligpit, nauuna pang lumapit to give back the materials.  Yay for Gavin!

The rest of the evening was spent with family over dinner and get togethers.

Still can't believe it is our second Valentines ever...love love love Gavini!

Papa Francesco Viva Il Papa

Feeling grateful that the Holy Father visited the Philippines.
Touched by the Tacloban mass and the resilience of the people in the midst of the storm.
Amazed by the enthusiasm of the crowd hat gathered every single day in the streets to see Pope Francis.  How blessed are we, to have been able to experience all these?

We started the start of the 5 day non working holiday watching the Sri Lankan Airline plane land at Villamor.  Unlike PJP2's 1995 visit wherein we waited at Roxas Boulevard when he arrived, we did not do it this time around because the arrival of the Pope was close to evening already.

The next day, we went to Roxas in front of Midas Hotel to try our luck in hopefully seeing a pope Francis.  We got a great spot in front of the barrier and the parentals sitting at th center island.
Iba talaga ang Pinoy, everyone was super excited and shouting and cheering as the Pope mobile passed by.  Since we wated in place for 2 hours, got the chance to chat the policemen and those standing beside me too :)

During the Sunday mass at Luneta, we walked from CSB to TM Kalaw Cor Roxas Boulevard under the pouring rain.  We arrived at 5 hours bef the mass started but by this time, he crowd was already so huge.  We were not able to come close and decided to just watch it on tv.  Nakakatuwa to see Filipinos from all walks of life walking in the streets for the mass. I have never walked that far since Fod knows when, hahaha.  We walked from UN Avenue back to SLEX extension.  My feet still hurt until now haha!

It was all worth it, sulit to have been able to take part in this experience :)
It's very different from when we saw Pope Benedict in Vatican few years back.
We were able to go at the Stations of the Cross with the Pope at the Colosseum in spite of just going there few hours beforehand on a spur of the moment decision.
We were also able to even get good seats for the Easter Mass even if we arrived just an hour before the start.  That was how organized Vatican's logistics was.  The mood then was quite somber and everyone was quiet except for the occasional Viva Il Papa.

The mood in the Philippines is really over the top, where else can you see people shouting, cheering, jumping and smiling even under the rain?  Iba talaga tayo :)
