Baby Fair

My husband and I visited SM's Baby Fair last weekend.  Saying that there were a lot of people at the Megatrade Hall is an understatement, the crowd was unstoppable.  We saw a lot of parents carrying newborns with them at the Baby Fair and of course, a lot of heavily pregnant women.

We didn't stay long because I wasn't supposed to walking and standing up for long periods of time due to recent pregnancy complications.  My husband was also not the most patient person when it comes to shopping.  We just grabbed the essentials that we saw along the areas that were not as busy as the others.

I was happy with our small loot.  We were finally able to purchase the Cuddlebug pack and play that we saw at Youji & Me, which was also on sale at the Baby Sale (Php7,000->Php5,000), the Quilted Giraffe complete set of beddings for our wooden cot (Php4,000->Php2,400) and a mattress for the play pen.  On a hindsight, I should have bought more beddings for the crib and the play pen due to the great marked down prices.  Being in retail suggests though, that there will be another grand sale by June or July...just in time as when the baby is already settled at home :)

SM also gave away a nice loot bag with a Baby Fair Umbrella

On another note, we also received some newborn diapers from the US c/o Costco.  It comes out at about Php6.50 each when you convert it and this particular generic diapers garnered good reviews online.
Hope the diapers can last us for the first 2 months.
