I Survived!

It has been a month since my last post!!! I didn't realize how much time taking care of a newborn entails.  These are the thoughts that come to mind as I look back on the past month:

1. Goodbye uninterrupted 8 hours of sleep
Since newborns wake up to feed every 3 hours, sleeping for long hours is now a distant memory.
2. Goodbye Candy Crush (for now)
3. Hello nap time!
You will learn to sleep every moment that you can...wherever you are.
4. Eat-Burp-Poop-Sleep repeat
If anything is missed in this cycle, a crying fit starts!
5. Thank you Lord for my breast pump, the AVENT sterilizer, portable nappy changer, Boppy pillow
Investing in good gadgets and tools will make your life a lot easier.
6. Finding a good stroller is like finding your true love, long and hard decision to make but will make your life a lot easier and happier if you found the right one
7. Shopping for the baby is more fun than shopping for yourself
8. A baby will make you drive slowly and extra carefully
You will guard the baby with your life :)
9. Grandparents are heaven sent
We will not have survived the first month without the help of the Lolas and Lolos
10.  A husband who comes home early and does the night shift with baby is my fervent wish ***
Sana 3x a week tong mangari, hehehe!

It has been a challenge, but a happy one!
After a month, Gavin is now 8lbs and has been drinking 4 ounces of milk per feeding.
We were already able to bring him out to a nearby coffee shop, resto and the neighborhood mall :)
We are looking forward to an easier 2nd month :)
